Rainbow Training Centre was established in 2001 and originally offered only Childcare Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships in Early Years Care and Education within Stockton on Tees. We have, since our inception, established a very good reputation with the Learning and Skills Council, Local Authorities and nurseries. Our CCLD Level 2 LSC Funding Contract for 16-18 year old and 19 year old-plus Learners continues and has recently been extended to include unqualified Learners, 25 years old and over, who are working in childcare.
As a leading childcare training provider, we now deliver a range of childcare courses (see our 'Available Courses' section) throughout Middlesbrough, the rest of the Tees Valley, Darlington, Gateshead and Newcastle. We are currently expanding our provision to give access to our childcare courses to Learners throughout the country via our e-learning childcare training courses.
We appreciate that one of the main considerations of Learners and Employers when deciding on a childcare training provider is 'flexibility'. We are currently developing a strategy to roll out e-learning childcare training throughout the country so as to increase the flexibility element of our childcare course provision and to get as close to a 'paperless portfolio' childcare course as possible.
We offer a range of childcare courses including Train to Gain, EYFS training, NVQ childcare training including assessor award, team leader and management NVQ qualifications. In addition to our extensive childcare training courses, we offer a range of Skills for Life qualifications, such as numeracy and literacy.
As a leading childcare training provider, Rainbow Training Centre was awarded 'Investors in People' status in 2008.
