About Us

Rainbow Training Centre was established in 2001 and originally offered Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships in Early Years Care and Education within Stockton on Tees. We have, since our inception, established a very good reputation with the Learning and Skills Council and now the Skills Funding Agency, Local Authorities and nurseries. Our LSC Level 2 Funding Contract for 16-18 year old and 19+ Learners continues and has recently been extended to include unqualified Learners, 25 years old and over, who are working in Childcare.

We now deliver a range of courses (see our ‘Available Courses’ section) throughout the entire Tees Valley, Darlington and Gateshead and are currently expanding our provision into Northumberland, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, Leeds and the rest of West Yorkshire. Shortly, there will be provision for all of our courses to be accessed throughout the rest of the country.

We appreciate that one of the main considerations of both Learners and Employers when deciding on which Provider to access is ‘flexibility of delivery’. We can tailor our courses to provide a choice of delivery - ‘in working hours’, evenings or weekends. We are currently developing a strategy to roll out e-learning provision throughout the country, further increasing the flexibility elements of our provision and getting as close to a ‘paperless portfolio’ course as possible.

We were awarded ‘Investors in People’ status in 2008 and have also been awarded the highly coveted ‘Matrix’ status.
