NVQ's

NVQ are nationally recognised qualifications delivered in the workplace. To achieve an NVQ, learners must evidence that they have the ability (competence) to carry out their job to the required standard. The training delivery is flexible to suit both the needs of the employer and the learner.

From late 2010, NVQ’s are in the process of being replaced by the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF) and the new qualifications allow for greater flexibility, can be achieved at award, certificate and diploma levels however the emphasis is still on learning in the workplace.
